The lap really hinges on the high‑commitment sweepers in the middle and end of the lap: the fast left–right of corners 6 and 7 sets up the car’s balance for the back half, while the high‑speed right at corner 9 is the real lap time king, firing you into the heavy braking zone at corner 10. The flow swings from the tight, fiddly left-hand complex of corners 3 and 4 into a high-speed run through corners 5 to 7, then snaps back into a stop‑start rhythm at corners 8, 10 and 11, giving Sandown a distinct mix of old‑school straight-line pace and a few critical, high‑risk direction changes that define a quick lap.
